Born on April 15, 1999, in Rio de Janeiro, Hiago Barra began his martial arts career as a child, through judo. In 2011, he discovered jiu-jitsu and began training with Professor Herman Santos in a social project, where he took his first steps in the sport. Shortly after, he joined GFTeam, becoming a student of Master Júlio César Pereira, an international reference in the sport.
Over the years, he has built a solid career as a competitor, accumulating titles in national and international championships, with highlights for his achievements in IBJJF events. Nowadays, he is a black belt in jiu-jitsu, working as an athlete, teacher and international jiu-jitsu referee certified by the IBJJF.
He teaches classes for children and adults, transmitting the technical knowledge and values he acquired throughout his career, always with dedication, discipline and love for the gentle art.
